With all the negativity in the news we could certainly use some bonding time with our children; to take a moment and be more involved in their lives and let them know we are present. I urge you to take this opportunity to be with your children and form memories that could last a lifetime. The power of fishing has been undoubtedly known to bond families, boost the immune system, promote relaxation, improve cardiovascular health, teach self-reliance, and bestow patience. We could all use a little of that.
WORLD FISHING DAY
World Fishing Day 2018 is the first ever attempt to bring anglers all over the world together to celebrate the joys of angling, bringing new people into the sport, and highlight the incredible power of angling to make positive changes in the world and in people’s lives.
The idea was born out of a desire to see more people fall in love with fishing by celebrating the joy of reeling in that first catch, the appreciation for the fish, the honor associated with hunting for and providing yourself with a fresh meal, and the importance of education and conservation.
If you are unable to attend any of these events, you can definitely participate! We encourage you to watch the festivities as they come in around the world!

Walden Marina, a full-service boater’s haven on the banks of Lake Conroe in southeastern Texas. The only public marina to earn Clean Texas Marina honors for years on end, Walden Marina is a Certified Clean Texas Marina and has a long and earnest commitment to the rich water body to which it provides access. As the only marina on the lake that is fully enclosed by an earthen break wall, you and your boat will experience a calm serenity inside of our marina. Walden Marina is not as you remember it being. Plenty of changes have occurred under new management, including free family-friendly events that are open to the public every month!
CATFISH BUBBLEGUM & BRADLEY’S BITE ENHANCER
Catfish Bubblegum is the best no stink fish bait on the market. Made from fresh ingredients (not moldy cheese or rotten meat like other stink baits), Catfish Bubblegum won’t leave your hands smelling like… well, we won’t elaborate but let’s just say your wife won’t be complaining.
This homemade fish bait was created by professional fishing guide, Bradley Doyle, and continues to be produced fresh from his kitchen daily. Originally made for use during Bradley’s guide service, Catfish Bubblegum became a crowd favorite for its pleasant scent, easy baiting and well… catching lots of fish fast!
BRADLEY’S GUIDE SERVICE
Bradley’s Guide Service is a fishing guide and tour service on Lake Conroe, run by Bradley Doyle — a full-time single dad, a US Army veteran, the owner operator of Bradley’s Guide Service on Lake Conroe, and inventor/co-owner of Bradley’s Catfish Bubblegum and Bradley’s Bite Enhancer. With 30+ years of fishing experience on Lake Conroe, Brad has been featured on several Houston news station, 99.7 KSTAR Country, hosts Catfish Radio with Luke Clayton, and has filmed for 2 Seasons with Gone Fishing Pro; not to mention his unofficial lake record Blue Catfish that weighed in at 67 pounds! His mission statement is simple… “Though I cannot guarantee fish, I can guarantee my very best effort, to teach you what I look for, my methods, and to help make you a better fisherman or woman.”
TEXAS TROPHY CATFISH ASSOCIATION
The Texas Trophy Catfish Association was established to improve regulations to protect Trophy Catfish on Texas waters through spreading awareness, educating the fishing community, and encouraging action within the industry and practice of Catch, Photo, Release. Through practicing CPR, fishermen are able to protect and preserve trophy Catfish for generations to come.
CODE BLUE FISHING
Louis Parker is a tournament angler with Code Blue Fishing on Lake Conroe. When he’s not fishing he’s serving our community as a 911 response EMT. Not only does he do CPR on humans, he’s equally passionate about practicing CPR on fish! No, it’s not what you think! Louis is one of many anglers who chooses to catch, photo, and release trophy fish in an effort of conservation and to boost our ecosystem so many like to enjoy.
